Al Palazzaccio is a large and spacious farmhouse with villa-like proportions. This splendid property is located high in the hills north-west of Lucca, only 6 Km from the city walls. From every vantage point, its guests enjoy commanding views of the plains of Lucca, while maintaining their privacy. The new American owners completely repainted the interior and exterior with subtle, earthern colors, and they furnished all of the rooms with Lucchese antiques. As the country kitchen attests, an old look has been achieved without sacrificing modern conveniences. Since the owners also use Al Palazzaccio as their holiday home, it is equipped with all amenities, including TV, Stereo and Playstation. Discreet screens have been installed in all of the windows, so insects do not enter the house. Furthermore, fans are provided in every bedroom, assuring a comfortable sleep even during the hottest nights. Situated only steps from the house, the pool is surrounded by five hundred mature olive trees. The caretakers live in an independent apartment at the back of the house.
